Dimensions: 3′ 11″ x 4′ x 8″
Medium: Mixed-media assemblage incorporating sculptural elements, found hardware, bold paint textures, and glossy resin—housed in a sleek floating gallery frame
Artwork Overview
“I’ve Been Framed” is a conceptual centerpiece in Tom Pergola’s Assemblage Plastique series—where the idea of framing becomes both literal and metaphorical. This sculptural work juxtaposes metal, industrial hardware, sculpted form, and gesture-laden strokes in a compelling dialogue about containment, identity, and visual boundaries.
-
Material interplay: Hardware, sculptural findings, and bold acrylic textures merge behind a high-gloss resin surface that distorts and amplifies the frame motif
-
Concept as structure: The formal frame motif reflects the tension between visibility and containment—inviting viewers to examine what’s presented and what’s hidden
-
Exhibition-ready execution: Crafted with museum-grade floating framing, hanging hardware, and a commanding presence that complements gallery walls or modern interiors
Collector Highlights
-
Thought-provoking narrative: Explores themes of structure, boundaries, and how art—and life—is “framed” both inside and beyond literal edges
-
Exclusive original: A one-of-a-kind piece, hand-signed and framed, making it a rare addition to any contemporary art collection
-
Striking visual focal point: Ideal for entryways, gallery installations, living walls, studios, or corporate curatorship
